Access Control & Door Entry in Croydon
Paxton access control and door entry for Croydon offices, apartment blocks and shared buildings, plus burglar alarms and CCTV for homes and businesses. SSAIB-accredited installers.
Access control and security for Croydon
Croydon is further afield for us than our usual area, but we do cover it, particularly for access control and door entry. Our engineers are SSAIB accredited, and as Paxton approved installers, we fit systems for offices, apartment blocks and shared buildings across Croydon and South Croydon.
We also install intruder alarms and CCTV for Croydon homes and businesses, and can link everything together so it’s managed in one place.
Croydon buildings: what we see most
Apartment blocks and converted houses
Croydon has a lot of flats, from new towers to Victorian houses split into apartments. Door entry for each flat and fob access for residents keep the main door secure.
Door entry →Offices and business premises
Staff come and go, and keys get lost. Paxton access control lets you add or cancel a fob in seconds and see who went where.
Access control →Shops and commercial units
A commercial intruder alarm with monitoring, and CCTV covering doors, tills and rear access.
CCTV →Homes in South Croydon and beyond
Family homes with side access and back gardens. An alarm with app control and a camera on the drive cover the common ways in.
Burglar alarms →Door entry systems in Croydon: audio or video?
Audio door entry
- How it works
- Visitors press a button and speak to you through a handset in your flat
- Best for
- Smaller buildings and tighter budgets
- Good to know
- Simple to use, and easy to add fob access to the main door
Video door entry
- How it works
- You see and speak to visitors on a screen before letting them in
- Best for
- Larger blocks and buildings where you want to know exactly who’s there
- Good to know
- Works alongside access control for residents and staff
Access control for the rest of the building
Fobs or cards for residents and staff on the main door, bin stores, car parks and plant rooms, managed from one system. More about access control.
Access control, alarms and CCTV in Croydon
Access control systems
Paxton fob and card access for offices, apartment blocks and shared buildings, with users added or removed in seconds.
Access control →Intruder alarms
Domestic and commercial alarms with app control and optional 24-hour monitoring.
Burglar alarms →Police-monitored alarms and burglary in Croydon
Croydon is policed by the Metropolitan Police. As elsewhere, a police response depends on the alarm being installed by an accredited company such as us (SSAIB), monitored by an alarm receiving centre and registered with the force.
Burglary in Croydon
Police.uk recorded 501 burglaries within a mile of central Croydon between August 2025 and July 2026, close to ten a week (source: police.uk). In a busy area, controlling who gets into a building matters as much as the alarm itself.

Highly Recommended – Prompt, Professional and a Trusted Local Business.
We have been a customer of Thames Valley Securitek for 15 years when they initially installed our alarm system. We have recently upgraded our system and the team advised on how best to do this utilising as much of the existing structure as possible to save costs. They provided a competitive quote and carried out the work promptly, without any fuss and with professionalism. They are quick to respond to any queries and I would highly recommended their services. It’s great to be able to use and support a local business.

Intruder Alarm Installation
We were recommended TVS by a friend who had recently had a new alarm fitted. We wanted a company who would work with us and our builders during a refurb. TVS were great, they liaised with the builder throughout and fitted our alarm how we wanted it to be fitted so it blended in with our new improvements. To be able to pick up the phone and talk to an engineer within minutes was a very valuable Service they provided for us and our builder. I would highly recommend them to anyone. They were professional throughout and a pleasure to have in our home.
